CMA Technology Solutions Growing in the IT Security Market

CMA Technology Solutions, a nearly 35-year-old information technology firm, is working to fatten their IT security practice in 2019. Headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA, CMA has always focused on their customer’s security, but the company says they are making a generous effort to grow leaps and bounds in the market this year.

In 2018, CMA hired Adam Arceneaux, former Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of a global chemical manufacturing company. Adam has a BBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Notre Dame, an MBA from Louisiana State University, and began his career in 2005 focusing on IT security. “I’ve always had a passion for cyber security, ever since I took my first security class in college. I was extremely fortunate to have a teacher who mentored me in college and helped me get started with a security consulting company right after graduation, and I’ve been hooked ever since.  The thing I love most about security is that the threats and challenges are changing every single day – I never know what I will be working on when the day starts. I enjoy solving puzzles, so working with customers to identify their security issues and finding ways to fix them is very rewarding.”

Since joining the team at CMA Technology Solutions as Director of Security, Adam has solely focused on expanding CMA’s security practice. Traditionally, CMA provided security hardware and software, such as firewalls and anti-virus, to their customer base, but there was no broader practice around it. In the past 9 months, Adam has been creating turnkey security solutions that include software, managed services, and consulting services to better serve CMA Technology Solutions’ valued customers. “My goal is to build a practice that is viewed as a leader in the Gulf Coast region for cyber security services and expertise. We want to bring our knowledge and skills to all our customers, big and small, enabling them to focus on their business and not be worried about security issues. Our program is built on a foundation of technical skills, documented processes, evolving technologies, a boutique approach to solving customer problems, and a passion for what we do.”
